About

I’m Bertrand Martin — an engineer and product builder based in Rome.

My background spans cybersecurity (ENSIBS, Group-IB), political sciences (Sciences Po Paris), and digital product management across international organisations and financial services. I’ve lived and worked in Paris, Boston, and now Rome, where I’ve been building a set of independent projects that reflect the things I care most about.

Most of my work sits at the intersection of data, heritage, and diaspora — using technology to tell stories that aren’t being told yet, or to solve practical problems that affect communities that tend to be underserved by mainstream tech products.

Currently building:

  • Ayiti Remit — remittance comparison for the Haitian diaspora
  • Roma Aeterna — scroll-driven history of Rome in Three.js
  • Patina — AI aging visualisation for heritage buildings
  • PortaRoma — Airbnb co-hosting and property management in Rome

Previously: Group-IB (threat intelligence), FAO (digital communications), IFAD (product), Crédit Mutuel Arkéa / Natixis (cybersecurity engineering).
